Industrial Aluminum Profile Frame Standard Installation Steps

Pre-installation Preparation
Materials: Prepare aluminum profiles, connectors, and fasteners of the corresponding specifications according to the design drawings, confirming the quantity and dimensions are correct.
Tools: Prepare screwdrivers, wrenches, electric drills, spirit levels, right-angle rulers, etc., and check the condition of the tools beforehand.
Site: Choose a flat, slope-free ground, and lay cardboard or foam to avoid scratching the surface of the aluminum profiles.

Frame Assembly
First, assemble the bottom foundation frame. After placing the profiles, use a spirit level to level them. Then, install the load-bearing columns according to the drawings, gradually building the overall structure from bottom to top.

Pre-embed nuts, sliders, and other accessories in the aluminum profile grooves to avoid omissions during subsequent assembly.

Connection and Fixing
Select the appropriate connectors (corner brackets, built-in connectors, etc.) according to requirements for connection, and then tighten the bolts and nuts to the standard torque for reinforcement. Built-in connectors are recommended for corner connections to ensure a clean appearance.

Precision Adjustment and Acceptance Use a spirit level and right-angle ruler to check the levelness and verticality of the frame, and correct errors by adjusting shims. After overall adjustment, check all connections for looseness. Once confirmed, remove the surface protective film and clean with alcohol.

DIY Drilling Connection Installation (Reinforcement Scenarios) Detailed Steps If you need to improve connection strength by drilling, follow these steps:

Pre-treatment: If the original structure is already assembled, clear away items and remove the profiles that need drilling. If not installed, you can proceed directly.

Tapping: Tap the center of the end face of the profile to be connected. Fix the profile with a clamp. The tapping size must be larger than the diameter of the through hole in the profile (e.g., for a 5mm through hole in a 2020 profile, choose a 6mm tap, paired with an M6 bolt). Adjust the tapping depth according to the bolt length; the total exposed length of the bolt and screw head should be less than 2cm.

Positioning and Drilling: Use a drilling locator to precisely mark the position. First, pre-drill small-diameter holes for positioning. The actual drilling needs to be done in two stages: drill a hole inside the profile according to the bolt diameter, and then drill a countersunk hole in the outer groove according to the screw head diameter to ensure the bolt can be fully inserted.

Assembly and Tightening: Insert the bolt through both profiles from the inside and tighten it to secure it. If using corner brackets for double reinforcement, pre-install the slider nut in the corresponding position before tightening. Only one hole is needed at each location; drilling from both sides is not recommended.
