The operation of a thermal break aluminum strip insertion machine is divided into two categories: automated integrated machine process and manual auxiliary operation points. Preliminary installation and debugging must be completed before starting material insertion production. The following are the standard operating steps:

Preliminary Equipment Installation and Debugging
Set up the main frame and material rack, adjust the overall height, and adjust the center distance between the two guide grooves to match the spacing of the profile groove to be processed, then lock the slide rail.

Connect the power and air supply, start the machine and run it idle for 3 minutes to confirm that the rotating system runs smoothly without jamming.

After stopping the machine, adjust the height of the drive gear, slide the rubber heat insulation strip into the guide groove, fix the gear to prevent displacement during operation, then adjust the profile groove and guide groove to the same horizontal plane, and adjust the positioning device and tailstock to fix the profile position.

Automated Production Operation Process

Pre-confirmation Preparations: Inspect the aluminum profile surface for burrs and deformation. Ensure the groove size and thermal break strip matching error is ≤0.5mm. Select the appropriate thermal break strip material based on the operating environment (EPD rubber is recommended for environments between 20-80℃). Prepare auxiliary tools such as dedicated guides and silicone grease lubricant.

Automatic Strip Insertion Start: Switch the equipment to automatic mode. Push both thermal break strips into the guide groove simultaneously. Press the forward button to automatically complete the strip insertion operation. The profile will be automatically pushed to complete the lamination process.

Finishing and Finishing: After strip insertion and lamination are complete, operate the manual reversing valve to remove the positioning top plate. Gently pull out the finished profile and remove the positioning component to complete the single-process operation.

Key Points for Manual Strip Insertion When encountering special profiles where the center distance between the two grooves is less than 10mm, and automatic strip insertion is not possible, manual operation is required:

When inserting the strip, maintain an angle of 15°-30° between the strip and the profile groove, and advance it slowly and gradually;

Control the applied force: Single-point pressure should not exceed 3kg/cm². If resistance is encountered, immediately reverse and check to avoid forcefully pushing, which could cause the strip to twist or the profile to deform;

Check the centering of the strip every 50cm, ensuring the offset is within 1mm;

Leave a 5-8cm allowance at the end for heat fusion fixing to prevent the strip from shrinking.
