What Is a Thermal Break Assembly Line?
The Thermal Break Assembly Line integrates aluminum profile knurling, polyamide strip insertion, and rolling processes to produce high-performance thermal break aluminum profiles. The automated system ensures accurate strip positioning and secure mechanical bonding between aluminum profiles and insulation strips, delivering consistent quality for windows, doors, and curtain wall applications.
By integrating these processes into one production system, the thermal break assembly line helps aluminum profile manufacturers produce energy-efficient profiles for windows, doors, curtain walls, and other building applications.
product key technologies

Thermal Break Knurling Machine
The 10-Axis Thermal Break Knurling Machine uses an advanced servo control system to achieve precise and consistent knurling on aluminum profiles. Unlike conventional 2–4 axis machines with manual adjustment, the 10-axis design allows independent control of each processing movement, ensuring uniform knurling depth and stable mechanical bonding between aluminum profiles and thermal insulation strips. It is ideal for manufacturers producing curtain walls, passive house windows, and complex aluminum facade systems that require high accuracy, reliable performance, and consistent profile quality.
Thermal Break Rolling Press Machine
The aluminum profile rolling machine combines aluminum extrusions with thermal break strips to create finished thermal break aluminum profiles, also known as thermally broken profiles. Using hardened press rollers, the machine applies controlled pressure to securely lock the knurled aluminum profiles and insulation strips together, forming strong composite profiles with reliable mechanical strength and excellent thermal insulation performance.

A complete thermal break profile assembly process normally includes three key stages: knurling, strip insertion, and rolling (crimping). Each step plays an important role in ensuring the strength, accuracy, and thermal insulation performance of the final composite profile.
